Noctus Technologies Ltd ("Noctus", "we", "us", "our") is registered in England and Wales. We operate the Noctus platform at noctus.co. Our email address for privacy matters is privacy@noctus.co.
2. What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly — including your name, email address, phone number, and postcode when you create an account. We collect your home insurance policy details (provider, premium, renewal date, cover limits) when you upload a document or enter them manually. We collect usage data automatically, including pages visited, features used, and time spent, to help us improve the product.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the Noctus service — monitoring your insurance, identifying better deals, tracking cashback, and sending you relevant alerts. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share anonymised, aggregated data with partners for market research purposes. We use your email to send account-related communications and, where you've opted in, marketing updates.
4. Cashback and retailer data
When you click through to a retailer via Noctus, we use affiliate tracking technology to record the visit and attribute any resulting cashback to your account. We share your anonymised visit data with our affiliate network partners. No personally identifiable information is shared with retailers.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, for tax or fraud prevention purposes).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@noctus.co. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised Noctus team members on a need-to-know basis.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notification. Continued use of Noctus after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
